George Newman

George Newman was a fictional character in the Weird Al movie, UHF. He began as a shiftless loser floating from job to job. But he had a vivid imagination, and given the chance to run his uncle's television station, he worked very hard to make it successful.

George liked to play with mashed potatoes and one of his favorite foods was a Twinkie wiener sandwich. His best friend was Bob Steckler and his girlfriend was Teri Campbell.

As a manager, George was fair and open-minded, developing talent within the existing staff as well as bringing in some new hires, like Stanley Spadowski.
