Barbarella (character)

From Encyc

Jean-Claude Forest, a French comic book artist, created a "sex kitten" character known as Barbarella, in 1962.

In 1968 French film director Roger Vadim, created a science fiction film entitled Barbarella, in which the heroine travels to several planets in search of mad scientist Durand Durand, and his planet killing weapon. Vadim cast his wife, American actor Jane Fonda as Barbarella.

Remakes of the film received consideration over the years, with the most recent Barbarella remake, set to star Sydney Sweeney, with a script written by Blake Northcott, author of recent Barbarella comics.[1][2]
