Iraq War

Ongoing War in Iraq?. The war consists of two parts: the removal of Saddam Hussein and his regime and the establishment of a peaceful democratic Iraq.

March 20, 2003 - present.

The war started with the invasion of Iraq by coalition forces? after Saddam Hussein failed to comply with several United Nations resolutions? imposed on it after the first Iraq War. However, the main impetus for the invasion was the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack?.
