East Prussia

East Prussia was a region of Germany before World War II. It was conquered by the Red Army?, and divided up between Poland, Russia, and Lithuania?. The capital of Konigsberg? was renamed Kaliningrad?.

It was originally inhabited by a tribe of Balts called the Prussians. These were conquered by the Teutonic Knights, a group of Germans from the west, in the 13th century, and converted to Christianity.
