Ancient Rome

Ancient Rome was a great civilization. It survived a thousand years, with territories surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, extending to Persia in the east and the Danube River ?, Rhine River ?, and Hadrian's Wall in the north. Western civilization ? continues to be heavily influenced by Rome to this day.
